The American Seville

Enjoy a historical tour of the city.

From the 16th to the 18th century, Seville was the most important city in the world: “Gateway and port of America“. When the conquistadors added the new continent to the Spanish empire and merchants from all over Europe came to trade with the West Indies, Seville became the great world metropolis, as everything that left for overseas, and everything that arrived, had to pass through Seville’s customs.

Come and discover what happened, what Seville was like and how it changed the history of the world. We will visit the Arenal (old port district) and its nooks and crannies, what the port was like and what the businessmen of the time did, the area of carters, coopers and merchants, the famous brothel and the oldest street market in the world.

We will then cross the famous Triana Bridge to embark on the well-known Triana quarter (on the other side of the river), from where the ships set sail, where the popular Sevillian pottery was worked, we will see the most peculiar neighbourhoods and, in short, we will discover all its secrets.
